Hello everyone, and welcome to my blog! 👋
I’m a Spaniard in my late 30s (wow, that sounds terrible) who decided to move from Spain to South Korea. I studied economics and I’m currently making an effort to learn Korean (it’s quite a challenge!) while working here. I wanted to create a little corner of the internet to have fun and learn how to build and maintain a website on my own.
Here you’ll find whatever catches my interest about South Korea: not just news, but also personal observations. You’ll also find articles about my favorite sport, Formula 1, my adventures with Linux and technology, and occasionally tips about privacy and fraud prevention to help stay safe online.
This page is still under construction. As a new blogger, there may still be mistakes or things that don’t work perfectly yet.But I promise to keep improving and learning together with you all.If you’d like to talk to me, you can contact me through my Mastodon account (linked below).
Why goguma.blog?
Goguma means “sweet potato” in Korean, although I personally like the term “moniato” a bit more. I wanted something fun and easy to remember. Do you like sweet potatoes? Well, now you’ve learned something new for free!
And the .blog is pretty self-explanatory 😀. It makes it clear that this is a blog — short, direct, and to the point.
I hope you have a nice time here and that we can learn something together.
